Rev: PVTEAL SCRIBON above LIBO below, the Puteal Scribonianum ornamented with garland between two lyres, tongs at the base, Rome Mint. S.268, Cr.417/1, Syd. 927, B.Aemilia 11. Slightly off centered reverse, with original mint bloom, about extremely fine and rare. The remains of the Puteal Scribonianum were discovered during excavations in 1950. The spot was the haunt of money lenders hence the use of coining implements on the coin.
